What the site handles

You may provide one photo, hair details, practical limits, and optional salon notes. We do not ask for your name, account, age, gender, ethnicity, or an attractiveness rating.

How photo processing works

Your browser resizes and re-encodes the photo before generation, which removes embedded image metadata such as EXIF in normal supported-browser use. The CutCompass MVP does not write the upload or result to its database or object storage.

If live generation is configured, the image and the choices needed to make your requested preview are sent to Google’s Gemini API for that request. Google’s terms and data-processing practices also apply. If live generation is not configured, the site stays in reference mode and does not send your photo to an AI provider.

Local preferences

Your non-photo hair preferences may be saved in your browser’s local storage so the questionnaire is easier to revisit. You can remove them by clearing this site’s browser data.

What we do not do

• No beauty or attractiveness scoring.
• No faceprint or face-embedding database.
• No sale of uploaded photos.
• No advertising tracker is included in this MVP.

Your responsibility

Only upload a photo of yourself or a person who has clearly given you permission. Do not upload photos of children, public figures, or anyone who has not agreed to this processing.

Questions

This is an early product implementation. Before commercial launch, the operator should publish verified company contact details, provider terms, retention controls, and jurisdiction-specific rights.
